French Fries
Historically this has not been a popular topic is my culinary adventures. However, it has become increasingly popular around the water cooler as of late. Below are the most common french fries in order of deliciousness. It is important to know that these are ranked with the assumption that they are cooked to perfection as some of them vary dramatically if not cooked correctly. FYI, acceptable dipping options: Ketchup, Ranch and Blue Cheese.
Steak Fries

This is the best french fry available if cooked correctly. Its ability to hold ketchup is unsurpassed by any other fry. Lesser people claim that this is not french fry but a potato. Those are the kind of people are misguided and likely don't recognize the difference between this and the potato wedge.
Crinkle Cut Fries

These are just a fun french fry all around. Good size, clearly the leader in texture.
Classic Cut Fries

The industry standard. Right now I have to give Wendy's credit for the best french fries. I'm not sure if Mc'Donalds has changed their recipe but they got surpassed.
Others...
The rest of the french fry options all get credit simply because they are fries. However, I feel that I need to explain why they have not made the top 3. There are a lot of people that will go crazy thinking the Waffle Fry belongs in the list. While Chick-fil-a does a good waffle fry, these opinions are usually driven from people that don't eat many fries and are enamored with the shape.
The other french fry that deserves attention is the shoestring. Again, a french fry so in general good but it requires a handful to make a useful bite.
